To find the Pisces Rising Letterbox go to Lake Sonoma. Lake Sonoma is accessed from 101 between Healdsburg and Geyserville. Take the Canyon Road exit and follow Canyon until it ends in a T with Dry Creek Road. Follow Dry Creek Road until it comes to the park. Park in the lot in front of the Visitor Center. Please check out the Don Clausen Fish Hatchery which the letterbox and stamp honor. It's a pretty nice fish hatchery. No cost for the visit and you can read about hours, etc. at www.corpslakes.us/sonoma.

After you've checked out the Visitor Center and Hatchery walk out the parking lot the same way you drove in. Amble right onto what has become Skaggs Springs Road. Skaggs Springs, incidentally, is, amongst other things, the resort which the Army Corps of Engineers covered with Lake Sonoma in 1983. Certainly a mixed blessing. Anyhow, almost right away turn left toward another parking area.

Oh my gosh, it's only been two weeks and my informants tell me that a few things have been moved around, so instead of the interesting but complicated directions I had for you, here's all you (if I can trust those informants!) do:

If you see Deirdre McCormick you're in the right place. Find the second redwood tree on your right from the road and crawl under it. Be sneaky as this place pulls in a lot of business in the spring and summer. Crawl under to the trunk. On the south side next to the trunk, first under redwood needles and then under a stone you will find Pisces Rising.

Please reclose tightly and cover adequately with needles and the stone.

Thanks for coming!
