The cemetery is between 11th and 12th Streets and Avenues H and I in Plano, directly across the street from the Douglass Recreation Center at 1111 Avenue H. The northern section has more than 100 graves of white people. The southern portion is the black cemetery.
Read the historical marker at the northwest corner of the cemetery. Then, walk to the southeast corner of the cemetery. The box is located under a rock at the base of the three large trees whose trunks are twisted around each other.
