The Farmington Valley Greenway is a 26-mile multi-use trail running through five towns of Central Connecticut with connections to many more miles of walking and biking trails. It is a ten-foot wide, wheelchair accessible trail (which made it ideal for Rubaduc’s planting purposes today) designed for walking, jogging, biking, inline skating and other activities, including travel to work and school. Motorized vehicles are not allowed. The towns of Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, East Granby and Suffield administer the sections of the trail within their borders with the help of a coordinating committee and many dedicated volunteers.

Jill's parents would like to see more boxers finding this box so if you park where the bike path crosses Country club Road (parking is limited here)and walk (ride?)south, you'll come to Jill's bench shortly. Or you can park in the bike lot on Scoville Road and walk (ride?) north, it might be a bit longer.

There are many benches along the 26 miles, dedicated to loved ones or donated by organizations. Find the bench left in memory of Jill A. Hopper. Take 35 steps north and on the left find a cement pipe filled with water (hopefully this won't become too gross) Behind the pipe is a branch and under the branch are some leaves and under the leaves is a flat rock and under the rock is the letterbox.

This is a busy path and the box has already gone missing twice so be sure no one is coming and take the box to the bench to stamp in.

Many thanks to Jill's parents for replanting the box and for watching over it for me.
