The Compass Rose

Located at Cutler Pond in Needham

Directions: Take exit 19A from route 95 (route 128) in Needham (heading east).
Turn right on 2nd Ave into the industrial park. (There will be a Staples and a PetCo at this intersection.)
Turn right on 4th Ave.
Then turn right on Kendrick St.

A compass will be helpful, but not necessary.

Enter parking area at the PTC building entrance at 140 Kendrick St.

Park by the small red brick water works house.

Head away from the OLYMPIAN.

Follow the trail behind all the way to the Hydrant – Go Left.

When the THREE TOWERS are at your back, follow a steep path up the hill.

At the top, head NW and stay on trail.

When the tiny brick house is below you to the left, go down the steep animal made path to the right.

Half way down, work your way over to the odd WALWORTH devices.

Continue down to the small stone wall and the large concrete blocks.

Head N on the trail.

When you come to the odd, hollow cement cube, take 46 adult steps.

There is a Beaver trail on your right and to the left in a place you normally couldn’t reach, you’ll find the Compass Rose!
