**3/30/13 After checking this box today, we have come to the conclusion that it is definitely missing. 8-( **

~This letterbox started its "life" in a different way. It was originally a "Boxing Buddy". It traveled around the country with some wonderful hosts and visited many different letterboxes. She came home with an amazing log book!!!

She was yearning to be a "real" letterbox though.

Therefore, we went out on this blustery day to give her a permanent home along one of CT's many wonderful blue blazed trails.

This is not a typical letterbox, but a pouch. It contains no ink and markers would be required to get the same image as what is in the log book.

With that said, here are the clues:

You will be traveling in a South to North direction.

You will start in one town and head into another-barely.

This will also bring you from one county to another.

The blue trail you are hiking on is named after an Algonquin Indian tribe.

From where you need to start, to the intersection of the next paved road, is ~3.0 miles.

You will not need to walk the whole way though.

Keep looking on your left for a blue blazed Shagbark Hickory tree.

When you get to the right one, you will see the rocks in the picture to your right.

Go in the "cave" and look to the left of the second "step" behind a small rock in a crevice.

Please be sure to re-hide this small box well so that it will be there when others go to find it.

Enjoy your hike.

Flutterby~
