~Last year's Box of the Month nationwide exchange was so much fun that I wanted to be part of it again.

~This is a wonderful concept that was originally thought up by Liz of The Penguin Patrol of Kentucky. It is now being headed up by Dale End Farm of Massachusetts.

Thirteen letterboxers from around the country got together (electronically) and came up with a complete letterbox each. We all get to see and plant each other's creations for a limited time. Starting on November 1, 2008 and going through November of 2009 each letterbox will make a stop in each of the 13 areas for an ~ three week period. The clues will stay the same each month and a new box will be in place from the 1st through the 21st. There will be no box the last week of each month as that time is needed to send it to its next stop.

Please check back for the new letterbox each month so that you are sure not to miss any of these wonderful creations. Also, there is a first finder gift in each of these boxes.

If you have any questions just e-mail me ;-)

So here are the clues to this year's location:

From route 32 in South Windham, turn onto Machine Shop Hill Road. Go straight through the first stop sign and then make a left immediately after the fire department onto Pigeon Swamp Road. Follow this to the end and you will see a parking area with a sign stating it is Pigeon Swamp Preserve. Park here.

Dogs are allowed, even off-leash, as long as they are under their owner's voice control.

Start out by heading South on the yellow trail through a very nice stone wall. Cross through another stone wall. When you come to your first intersection, turn right towards "tr jct" (4/19/09-now blazed blue).

Go through another stone wall and one more. Then come to the intersection of mill site/p swp rd.

From this post, turn back towards where you came from and walk 16 steps to the stone wall on your right.

Look right and see a small Wolf Tree next to the wall. Walk to this tree, on the same side of the wall.

From this tree go 7 steps more and look low in the wall under a mossy rock.

Please be sure to re-hide this well so that others after you may find it.

Thanks,
Flutterby~
