7/26/09 - box is alive and well. It had been pushed in far enough that it might have been easy to miss. That has been taken care of now. The road at the west end is in pretty bad shape tho'. You might want to enter through the east end and go through the cemetery. The stamp is broken a bit but is still recognizable.
----------------------------------------------

We were torn when we got to this spot. It was a perfect one for another daisy but we decided to go with something different after touring around the place.

From Rt. 101 eastbound you will pass Dublin Lake on the right and immediately the Dublin Town Cemetery on the left. The Cemetery was established in 1751 and they certainly picked a spot with great views. According to the name sign, the cemetery is only open May 1 to November 1. Outside those dates you probably won’t be able to drive into the cemetery but you may still be able to get to the box. There are two entrances: one on the west side and one on the east side. The western one is easy to miss because it looks like a dirt road that is outside the cemetery. If you miss it, go to the eastern one. This is where the sign is.

If you go in the western road, you will go up a short way and there will be an entrance into the main cemetery on your right. On your left is a small annex. This is the area you want, whichever entrance road you start on. Go into this area and to the right. You will come upon the remains of Dublin’s First Meeting House. Facing the sign, follow a line extending from the wall going to your right until you come to another wall. Go left 3-4 steps and look between the big rocks. Please be careful of the stone wall while finding and rehiding the box.

Enjoy the view and the history.
