Galena Public Library is on Bench Street. Once you arrive, walk up the main stairs and through the front door. There is also a wheelchair accessible entrance in the back of the library. Go up the stairs to the upper level of the library and turn left as soon as you walk through the second set of doors (these are usually kept open). Keep walking until you get to a U.S. flag. Take 2-3 steps past the flag. Turn right and walk until you get to the bust of James W. Scott. Turn left again and seek out some Greek Corinthian pillars. After you walk up to the pillars, study them for a few seconds, then look around near you for a different style of pillars and go and study those. When you are done, turn 180 degrees and walk about 7 paces. (Keep in mind that 'paces' is an approximate measure. Those are my paces, but several people have told me that they ended up short with 7 paces so you might have to search the whole area if you can't find it.) Look to your right and slightly down for a blue book with 2 red stars.

Enjoy, but please remember that this is a public library. Keep your voice down and try not to draw attention to the box. You can use the tables on the other side of the shelves for stamping and such but make sure to return the box to its original location.

If you have any trouble finding the box or any questions please contact me.

Happy huntin'!
