“X Marks the Spot”

Please be aware that this letterbox is hidden on the campus of a church called Xenos Christian Fellowship. Please be respectful that this is church property, and be aware that there is also an elementary school that is in session during the school year. The box is located such that you actually will not be in anyone’s way during school or church, but there may be people on the property and using the trail. Xenos is located on a 40-acre campus at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and 270. It is accessible by a driveway on Community Park Drive.

Go to 1340 Community Park Drive (Xenos Christian Fellowship). Drive all the way back toward the main building. Keep going to the back (West) parking lot. Park in the SW corner of the parking lot. You will see a trail heading into the woods. Start walking down the trail. A short distance down the trail you will come to a “T”. Go to the left. Walk a little way down the trail and you will come to a large clearing. There is a firepit almost straight ahead, and behind it a small cement base with a crumbling cement “thing” on top (don’t know how else to describe it—looks like a piece of cement piping turned on its end). Stand on the SE corner of the cement base. Turn East. You will see a wide path on the east side of the clearing heading into the woods. Take the path until it ends--about 50 paces (2 steps=1 pace) i.e., don’t start bushwhacking through the woods. Look to the left under a “suspicious pile of branches” and you will find the “spot” with your “X”.

On your way back, you may want to take a turn on the awesome swing located in the clearing, and take the rest of the trail through the woods around the campus—it is circular about 1 mile long.

Enjoy!!
