THIS BOX HAS DISAPPEARED.

Located in Pokagon State Park, Angola, Indiana. It takes about 40 minutes to get to The Sparrow. Make sure you start your hike earlier in the day so you don't find yourself in the dark woods. Once you arrive at Pokagon, make sure you stop at the Gate House and ask for a park map. This is a long hike and you might want to visit other areas after finding The Sparrow.

Follow the main entrance to the first left after passing the Gate House. You will need to park your car in the Potawatomi Inn parking lot. When looking at the Inn park your car in the farthest left parking spot you can find. There will be a large brown barn in the left corner. Next to this Brown barn there will be a trail sign pointing towards TRAIL 3. follow TRAIL 3 towards the boardwalk that goes over the swamp land. At the fork, take the right-hand path. Follow TRAIL 3 due North towards Hell's Point. You will be walking over the entrance road Ind 727. Continue to follow TRAIL 3 due North. When yoiu see the sign that states "Hawk Hollow" (TRAIL 9) stop walking and turn around. Go back over the little wooden bridge and take the unmarked trail on the right. When you reach the end of that trail turn left. Almost immediately you will see the sign for Bluebird Hills

Turn right at the sign for Blue Bird Hills (TRAIL 7). After turning you will follow that trail for a short distance. After the second bend in the trail, on the left there will be a huge pine tree (the only pine amongst a ton of deciduous trees). Eight feet behind the pine is another large tall tree. Behind the second tree is where you will find The Sparrow under some small logs and sheets of bark.
