Look for the old red barn where duffers lament, it’s where the old empty silo is made from cement.
On Crane Road between M12 and Textile, walk the old fairways and relax for a while.
Look for the picnic shelter to drop off your snack;
it’s a good place to rest when you get back.
Walk to the power lines down on your right, Make sure to check out the old ladder & auger ‘round back...they’re both quite a site.
Next you will stand right under the lines, these you will follow to the opposite side.
As you make your way ‘cross greens and fairways,
keep on the lookout for Top-Flite or Callaway.
Walk the gravel cart path until it does split, follow the "right" path to a high place where you could sit.
If you were fortunate to find a stray golf ball or two, as you take a couple of swings from the elevated tee box, keep your head down, then follow through… “FORE !!”.
I’ll bet one in your group was called Tiger or Jack. If you hadn’t yet noticed, you’re now heading back.
Follow the path past the red rock until a huge woodpile you’ll find.
Continue on to the weeping willow behind.
Toward the red barn but stop on the bridge, I’m hid; you guessed it, somewhere at the water’s edge.
I'm not "up a creek".
I'm not in the barn.
I'm not near the apple tree I'm sure you will find.
Still “stumped”?
I bet you're not "stumped" anymore.
Hope you had fun. We sure did. We look forward to seeing all of the stamps and notes from all of our Letterbox friends.
