Woodland Wizard

The Wizard cleared the last of the smoke from his eyes and looked around. Where, Oh Where had he reapparated? The place looked vaguely familiar….

He had been traveling the land and needed to get to his small rock grotto to restore his magical powers. If he had been in top condition he would have landed right at the three trunk tree atop of the grotto, His sanctuary and place to renew the wizardly powers and gain perspective on the changes in the world of Wizards.

Instead here he stood in a woodland Faerie Ring looking for a direction. Toward the river he saw his white diamonds marking the trail and knew it was the direction leading to his safe haven. He hastened to the trail. The fall sun danced on the creek and the creatures of the creek greeted him in turn.

He floated right up the trail and upstream, knowing he was near the safe haven . Aaah, there it was. He dashed up to the tree and nestled in a small space under the roots. He knew he would have a little rest at last….

Things would be fine in the morning light.

Important Notes:
1. This trail is very cool, but would not recommend it for small children or those afraid of heights.
2. Be very careful. Yes the box is up there, but use extreme caution retrieving. (Sheba – Remember Lumpy? This is worse.)
3. We were able to walk on a bit further and this is an awesome trail, but not well maintained. Wish we could have finished it to the end, but had to get home to geriatric pup. Maybe some other time…
4. All references used with permission.
5. E vansburg S tate P ark. S kippack C reek L oop T rail.
6. Eat your vegetables.
7. Hug those you love often.
8. Black Swan thinks number 6 & 7 are lame, but since I know how to work the smart thingy box thing - they stay.
