This house was built by W.R. Stafford in 1866. He had traveled from N.H. to Lexington for employment; then bought land here to harvest his own "pine gold." This house continues to be his family's residence and the buildings are orginal.
To find the letterbox, park on School Street as close to the barn as you can. The letterbox is on the south-east corner. Please remember to bring a stamp pad and help yourself to a post card.
