“JOSH’s BIRTHDAY BALLOON” LETTERBOX
September 22, 2008 - Today is Josh’s Birthday!
After work, I picked up his gift along with the card and balloon, and began to head for his house. On the way, his balloon floated out the window!
So here I am with his gift, but missing the attached balloon.
Where could his birthday balloon have gone?
Rethinking my path, I went back to the last thing I remembered.
With gas prices so high – how could I forget this intersection? There is the place that Josh has nicknamed the “dueling gas stations.” Although there are only 2 gas stations left, it is always fun to see who will have the lowest price here at the corner of Union Street and Chili Avenue.
Heading south on Union Street, I remember thinking how nice the day was, and I quickly stepped at Black Creek Park to walk my dog. Once I entered the main entrance on Union, I veered toward the left and parked. I remember seeing children playing on the soccer near the lot where I parked.
I remember looking at the large wooden Park Sign near the east side of the lot and wondering where the balloon could have gone. I began to follow the seven large rocks before heading south. On my right I saw a post with a worn orange sign that still had some of the word "prohibited" on it. I took about 60 paces before seeing a disappearing small path on my left. I took about 40 heel-to-toe steps toward a large uprooted tree that had fallen.
This is where you will be able to find Josh’s Birthday Balloon.
