Status of Minibox: WOW! Box was found under a Rock by a Geocacher!! Updated clues to come soon.
The "Cactus Tex" minibox is located in Soldier Pass, in West Sedona. Great place to hike or jeep (as we did), and Sedona is wonderful!!
Directions:
From Hwy 179, go west on Hwy 89A. Turn right on Soldier Pass Road. Turn right on Rim Shadows Dr. Go straght at 4-way intersection (Rim Shadows goes left). Turn left soon after into parking area, and park (if in Jeep, you can drive to the Sacred Pools and park).
To the Minibox:
Follow Trail signs to the Seven Sacred Pools. Once there, get to the high ground above the pools where the jeeps park. From this ridge, looking down at the pools, go right along ridge (pools on left, parking on right) to a wash. Go right up the wash for 10 steps to a cedar tree on the left. On back side of cedar, box is wedged in it, about 3 feet up.
