The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe Letterbox Series at Robinswood Park

Robinswood Park is great for kids. It features picnic areas, sports fields, a duck pond, play equipment, and a wooded area for strolling in.

Directions:
From I-90, take 148th Ave SE Exit and head north form 1 mile. Make a right on SE 22th St. Robinswood Park lies at the corner of SE 22th St & 148th Ave DE. There are three different parking lots.

Notice:
Please be discreet when finding these boxes, and re-hide them well when you are done. Theses trails are well used and some of the boxes are very near the path. Please re-seal them well when you are packing them away. If any of the boxes need servicing or are missing, please notify me by emailing me at eightbrooks@msn.com. These are the first stamps I made. There used to be a Lamppost box as well, but it was lost. Please let me know if you find it. There is only a log-book in the last box.

Clues:
Since this great book is about children, start at the playground. Find the largest red slide. Standing at its base, take out your compass and locate the woods at 170 degrees.

(For those who do not know how to use a compass this way: you need a compass with degrees marked in numbers around the edge. Move the compass so that it lines up with the arrow, which is pointing north. Then look for the appropriate number of degrees around the edge and head or look the way it points.)

To reach the enchanted wood, take the gravel path that curves along this side of the duck pond. As you do, you will pass both the duck viewing area with benches and a railing, as well as a large willow with a bench at its base. Both these spots will be on your left. When you come to the fork in the path, there is a metal plate in the center of the paths. Standing on it, take the path at 150 degrees. The path you are now on will come to a crossing. Go straight, not left or right. You will pass through the pillars:
ENTER THE LAND OF NARNIA…

Nearing the second crossroads, you will see a trail marker post ahead. REMEMBER THIS SPOT; YOU WILL BE ASKED TO RETURN TO IT TWICE. Place your compass above the trail marker. To meet the beavers, take path at 60 degrees. As you go up, you will see another topped woodpecker tree on your left. From there, straight ahead is a stump covered with sticks. On the other side of this stump is where Mr. and Mrs. Beaver live.

Now go back to the spot I warned you about.

With your compass above the trail marker, take the path at 140 degrees. (Don’t walk into the tree right in front of you.) Notice a log on your right next to some more huckleberries. Seeing the next trail marker, place your compass above it and take the path at 280 degrees. You will pass under the lovely branches of the Dryads. At the fork there is a trail marker to your right. Pass between numerous large stumps. Use the marker to find the trail at 320 degrees. Look for the large, pointy stump at the right side of the path. Behind it is a log and the stump it came from. Behind this second stump is where the Stone table lies.

Again, go back to the spot I told you of.

From the trail marker, take the trail at 250 degrees. Find the bench. Sitting on it, see the big stump in the bushes at 260 degrees. This is Cair Paravell’s location. Now sit back for the coronation!

To leave the enchanted woods, take the path to the right of the path you came down, it has a weird little stump by it.
