Easy. No fee. Great for stopping on the way in or out of town.

Almost a century ago families from the Boston area used to spend their summers in the Lakes Region of NH. The tradition continues even today but most families do not stay for the entire summer like they used to in days past. Many hard working Fathers from the Boston area would come by train to the lakes region each weekend in the summer to play, rest and escape the city heat with their families.

So the tradition continues with our family . . . making a pilgrimage to the area each summer – to the family camp that has been in my husband’s family for over 50 years.

We planted this letterbox on our way out of town . . . wear bug spray in the summer – we literally sprinted back to the van running from the mosquitoes.

Park at Turntable Park Recreational Park in downtown Sanbornville, NH. Start walking down the RR tracks. When you get to the Track Switch you have found the letterbox. It is wedged under switch . . . please replace with care . . . we lost container and log book in the spring of 2009 . . . a new box/stamp/log book was planted on June 16, 2009.
