Pass over the bridge at Long Pool.
Stop at the next camping area. It's on the right. You should be 38 miles or so up river. There is a rest area and some camping spots.
Not sure what they call it here. But we call it a favorite place.
There are two large pools to dunk in and an all round nice place to spend a hot afternoon or even camp for a few days. Find a parking place. Find your way to the river.
Pass by the bigger lower pool.
Stop at the upper pool.
You should be on an island of sorts. You should have main river in front of you and a secondary river in back of you. The main contains the upper pool.
You will need to get wet.
Your choice how wet you get.
The rock face on the opposite side of the river holds the letterbox. It is small. Extremely small for a Sondog letterbox. You will need to be in the water to reach it. You will not need to climb anything. You will not need to tread water. You can stand in the water and gain this prize hidden waste high. It is super camouflaged.
Please be kind to the area. Please watch for people enjoying the area while you hunt.
If you find a red herring, You are about 10 feet south of the actual.
You will need to cross back over the river to do your stamping etc.
You will need a stamp pad or markers for this one. No room for anything but the stamp, a small log and a little note explaining what this thing is.
After stamping and signing in, please replace the letterbox to it's special place.
This letterbox is only available during the summer.
Hope you enjoy the river here as much as we do. Thanks for playing along.
God bless, Sondog
