This is the third Norfeldt School (West Hartford) Girl Scout Troup 431 attempts at letterboxing, placed during our camping trip at Hammonasset State Park - 26 3rd grade girls and moms on Friday night, rain/thunder and lightening (and many fewer campers!) on Saturday night. There's a two others hidden as well, check them out too. We hope you enjoy our letterboxes.
Here's the clues:
From the main road in, before the guard booths - walk down the service road, which is on the left as you enter the park. The paved road ends. STOP here. Walk back 14 paces and facing the maintenance road, look to your right. In the grouping of trees, about 15 feet in, and down a grade, there is a multi-trunked tree. If you get to the water, you went to far! Nestled behind those trees, is the third of our letterboxes.
