Thanks to Caliope for adopting this for me and replacing the log and container, but sadly it finally went missing in 2013.
This series features one box along Pacific Coast Highway in each California county, and the stamps relate to that county's name. San Luis Obispo County was named for a saint who, at a young age, renounced his royal inheritance to join the clergy instead, dying just a few years later because he cared more for the needs of the poor than himself. He chose the mitre over the crown.
