This letterbox is in honor of my Aunt Annette & Uncle Gene’s 50th Wedding Anniversary.
It’s only a mile hike. Pretty flat except for a couple of steep steps.
Start out on Chatfield Hollow's Witches Hollow Trail which is the yellow trail across from the restrooms near the beach area. Walk up the stone steps. At the top you will see a huge beautiful fireplace. It’s pretty cool so stop to take a look. Get back on the yellow path which bares right and keep going. Look out for the mile markers. When you pass marker 10, you will go down a few steps. Then you will see a marker with a “<” pointing you in the direction you just came from. This is where the path turns a sharp right. Look beyond the < and you will see two large rocks with a tree growing right in the middle. Go around the left rock and you will find the treasure you set out for! When you are done, get back on the yellow path and keep following it. It will lead you back down to the main road. Have fun and Happy Anniversary to Aunt Annette and Uncle Gene!!!
