Heading west on Hwy 99 in McMinnville take a right onto Baker Creek Rd. After a short distance take another right onto Baker st. you will see the Rotary Nature Preserve shortly up the road on the left.
From the parking lot, Take the Paved trail. Follow the path a short distance until the path comes to a y. Take the path to the sharp left. Follow the path until you must go right or left. Go left and over the 2 wood bridges. Stop and read the sign about the Seeps Spring and Run off. Continue on and when you reach the Rainbow tree carefully duck under the tree and continue on. When you reach a bench located on your right sit and take a rest and enjoy Heron Pond. When you are feeling rested walk back about 35 paces going back the way you came from. Take a right up the hill on a small narrow trail. Go up the trail about 35 paces through the ferns, on the left you will see a tree with a large and intresting trunk and root system. At the base of this tree you will find what you are looking for.
Please cover and rehide well.
