Going East on I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass, take EXIT 62 and turn left. Follow this road and follow the signs to Lake Katchess Camp Ground.

After entering Lake Ktachess Camp Ground, take a left at the “T.” Drive past a sign for Lodge, Mineral, and Thetis Creek sections. Then drive past signs for Bear-grass Flats, the group campsite, and Box canyon. Park near the sign for Box Canyon Creek.

Find the bathroom. Across the street, find the trailhead sign that says “Little Kachess Trail No. 1312.” Go down the path and take a left at the fork. Continue on this path and cross the bridge (This bridge has fallen down, but the stream is still crossable in the summer, please let me know if they replace the bridge). (Notice the “no fishing sign.” This doesn’t apply to the “Little Fishy,” but you must catch-and-release him back into his home.) At the first fork after the bridge take a left. At the next fork after the bridge take a left. When you see the third fork in the trail, with stumps in the middle of the trail, take a right and go out on the viewing platform. See any fish?…you will soon.

Turn around to leave. As soon as you step off the platform take a left, going off the path between two large trees. Head under the platform. With the water on your right, look under a flat stone in the rock wall in front of the far-back-left platform support. Don’t let the Little Fishy jump out at you!

Please re-hide our little fish well. This is a very well used area (even under the platform). Once the rock is back in place, make sure that so that you cannot see the box from all angles. We don’t want our little fishy to swim away! Let us know if you find it.
Happy trails, and God bless,
