In Mayfield town I do reside
'Neath a Juniper branch I do hide.
"Juniper? Juniper?" Which Juniper you ask.
"Is it one that wears an old man mask?"
"No", I say, "tis not so."
Three line the fence where my winds do blow.
Heading toward the rising sun
Up the Canyon Road just a short run.
September brings the rustle of cattle
The clamor of sheep, sounds like a battle.
I snuggle beneath a graying log cut
The first of the Junipers my mountain hut.
