Mad Frog at Big Rock (by the Limekiln Loons)

From the south, take Route 28 north past Old Forge & Eagle Bay about 10 miles, then just north of Inlet past the laundromat. Turn at the next right onto the Limekiln Road... the IVES(Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services) facility is on the corner.

From the north, take Route 28 south about 10 miles from Raquette Lake, turning left onto the Limekiln Road just past the Inlet Golf Club... the IVES(Inlet Volunteer Emergency Services) facility is on the corner.

Proceed up the hill & over the summit, ~2 miles total, to the Campsite Road (Across from the former Marie's Pie Shop/Limekiln Chalet A-Frame building in the clearing on the left) and turn right.

If you reach the old Ranger's house on the left, you've gone just a bit too far.

This one is easy... the BIG ROCK is immediately on your right as you make this turn...(it's currently painted brown)

Park roadside and go around the back of this rock. The box is at the base, tucked in under leaves and held against the rock base with two old telephone wires. Hide it well w/ leaves when you're done.

This is a great spot to watch the traffic coming into the area to enjoy the lake and trails. There are many boxes nearby too.
