Time..5 min
Difficulty..easy
To get to Lake Katherine take Harlem av. to Rt. 83 [College rd.] and go west 3 blks. Proceed north into the area and make a right past "The Moorings" and on to the parking lot. Park and enter the area by the "Eagle Dance". Just before the bridge take the path on the right and walk along the stream, when you reach a fork in the road stay right till you enter the gate for the Conifer Garden. [ evergreen, cone bearing trees or shrubs], make a right in the garden and have a seat at the bench. Slightly to the right, in front of you, you will see a medium sized pine tree sitting beneath a gigantic White Pine.
A few feet off the ground you will find "The Swan" nestled in the tree. Please be VERY careful in this area as it gets very busy, and make sure it is not visible from either side when you put it back. This is a micro-box so bring your own ink.
After you tour the 'Falls" area, go for a walk around the lake and see if you can find Big Daddy Swan on the lake! Good luck. Big Cat
