10/13/2009-Number 2 @ WIlson Chapel has been reported as missing.

9/2/2009-Numbers 1,3,4 have once again disappeared. No plans to replace them.

7/7/2009-All of the boxes have been replaced as of today!

These are the first boxes we’ve planted. Hopefully, you will find this beautiful spot as charming as we do. People started summering here in the 1870’s and cottages have names such as Rockmere, SeaAyre, Sea Vista, and Wee Lovit. The search is very stroller & dog friendly. There are many people around during the summer season. You’ll have to act quickly to keep our secret! Bring a picnic and ink!

To get there: After passing through Wiscasset on RT 1 North, go right onto RT 27. Drive approximately 10 miles to Jct of RT 96 (across from Hannaford) and turn left. Drive approximately 6miles all the way to the end of RT 96/Shore Rd. Park on Shore Rd in a designated spot or park in the little lot halfway back up the hill. Ready to start searching?!?!

Box #1: Ocean Point Walk

In front of you lies Grimes Cove with Green Island up close, Ram beyond.
Heading down the wood chip path would be best.
At the end of it, the box does rest.
See the four dead trunks sticking up.
Look between the boulder standing upright
And the white glittery one slanting to the sea.

Box #2: Wilson Chapel

Box #2 is 0.2-0.3 miles away
Along Shore Road, past cottages new & old.
Around curves, up & down a hill.
Stop at a place where folks worship and pray
And many have a service for their wedding day.
You’re welcome to take a peak inside.
Now turn around & admire the view.
As you do, notice the odd tree.
Straight across the road to get a better peek.
You should see a tangle of roots to the left.
The thing you’re searching for is underneath.

Box #3: Three trees

Continue down Shore Road, take pleasure in the sights.
The rocks, Ram Island…all is right.
On the left you will see what locals call “Three trees”.
They occupy a point jutting into the sea.
Remember where you found the last box?
Look again in a similar spot under the beach peas.

Box #4: Turtles

At the 0.9 mile mark is the Ocean Point Inn.
Look down a long dock, then turn 90 degrees.
Behind the Inn is a pond-what luck!
In the right season, you’ll see turtles & ducks.
Walk along a hedge of beach roses.
Sneak down the alley of grass.
Stop again at the white fence.
Look down & to the right.

Box #5: Ocean Point

Go just a little farther & up the hill.
“Please sit down and enjoy the view”
Says the sign on the bench.
Do as it says, take a careful look around….

Let us know how your search went! Thanks!
