The El Camino Real Trail was a vital part of the cattle drive and roads for the early development of Texas.
The Kings Hwy section is honored by a granite marker at the corner of Old Bastrop Hwy and Center Point Road in San Marcos Tx. There is a crepe mrtyle with the box in the bottom of all the trees.
You can get to Centerpoint Road from IH 35 right at the Outlet Mall. Take Center Point South behind the Outlet mall until it deadends into Old Bastrop Hwy.
