Child friendly. Pet Friendly. Easy hike. 2.8 miles from Tamworth 4-Corners on Route #113A. Trail maps are available {approx.} 100' in on trail. Distance is 1.1 miles; 45 minutes. Follow red markers passing #1 - #2 - #3 - cross bridge - #4. See large sign with trail map on it. Follow the Steele Loop Trail. Soon you will go thru a damp area. On the left is a large uprooted tree next to the river. On right opposite uprooted tree you will see a Birch tree with large roots coming out of the ground. Amongst these roots, you will find a "Big Pine Tree". Enjoy the rest of the hike & as always rehide what you find. Thank-you for visiting.
