Start at Honeyman State Park. There is a parking fee for day use, or you can purchase the yearly pass for parking in the Oregon Park areas. This is a wonderful state park for camping, fishing, biking , hiking, swimming, kyaking, sand boarding, paddle boating, or just stopping by to take in the view. It is a pet friendly area, and they have running water available for those pic-nic people stopping by for the day.
To begin your search head into the pic nic area of the state park. Locate the building constructed by the civilian conservation corps. in 1938, and remodled in 1980. Heading west locate the gazeebo with running water and three sinks. Follow the trail in the south-west corner out from the gazeebo that leads toward the lake. Just before reaching the lake you will see three stumps on your right. Find your way to the pic nic table off to your west side. Between two pic nic tables stands a single tree. At the base of this tree inside the bushes you will locate the Honeyman Gnomb Home.
