At Heritage Park, learn something about the HERITAGE of those who are blameless!!
Difficulty level: easy, 15 minutes, stroller friendly
Starting Point: Heritage Park in Grandville, MI (near Rivertown Mall). This is one of our favorite parks! It's small but very pretty. There is a half mile gravel track around the pond. We love to come here for a picnic or to play on the playground or the basketball courts.
To find Heritage Park: From I196, get off at the 44th street exit and head east. Go less than one mile and make a Michigan left onto Canal, which is the intersection near Logan's, Wendy's and Texas Roadhouse. On canal, head north about 1/4 mile and look for Heritage Part on the right.
From Rivertown Mall, head west on Rivertown Parkway. Go to Canal (the intersection just before Starbucks and Texas Roadhouse) and turn right. The park is a 1/4 mile down on the right.
Here are your directions:
1. Start at the 'start'.
2. Take 10 steps backward and then take the path to your left.
3. Walk the planks.
4. Go to the middle of the lake.
5. Turn around and say the pledge.
6. Take nine steps up, but don't get a splinter.
7. Walk between two bumpy solids and keep going until you get to the one with a wheel on it.
8. You're late for school! Look for the path to the back door.
9. Under board 16, you'll find what you're looking for!
This is the first box to be hidden by the Now-n-Laters! Please let us know if you have any trouble! We plan to leave several more at this park, so stay tuned!
