~This is a special box for me, as it is a link between my middle child and myself.
You see we both went to the same high school. Windham Regional Vocational Technical High School in Willimantic, CT.
It was really cool to go back and see the changes that had been made. A lot of the same teachers were still there too. It was a fun four years-both times ;-)

The one really bad thing was -THEY CHANGED THE MASCOT!!!
We were the Windham Tech Beavers and he was the Mighty Tigers. I always told him my Beaver would have beat his Tiger easily.
It was a really tough looking Beaver.

Well, he graduated this year and I figured I would carve his kitty for him and put it in a special place.

Well, wouldn't you know it, he provided the special place for me. My son was in Carpentry (and quite good too 8-). The second to last day of school, his senior class in shop, put a new bridge in place on one of the airline walking trails in our hometown. We went and checked it out and it looks really nice. At first I thought it was rather large for the span, but then he explained that it was made to accommodate emergency vehicles, just in case!

If you would like to see this creation, and get a box in the process, just follow the clues below.

You will need black ink for this image.

From route 289 in Lebanon, turn on to Village Hill Road. Follow this down the very steep, long hill (my son ran UP this many times during his four years of track and cross country in high school where he lettered every season).

When you get to the bottom of the hill after passing Card Street, you will see a parking area for the airline trail on the right side of the road. Park here and be sure not to block the yellow gate.
Now look across the street and you will see the bridge that they installed. Go ahead and check it out.

When you are done looking at it, cross the street back to where you car is parked and continue walking, passing the yellow gate. You will have a stone wall on your left side for a bit. When this wall ends, keep looking on the right for a large two sister Hemlock.
When you see it, stop and look a little to its left and you should see a ~ 3 foot tall rock standing alone. Look behind this rock for the Mighty Tiger.

Please re-hide this one well.
