we recently took a road trip to Arkansas to see family. Along the way we found this wonderful state park in oklahoma. we wanted to leave something here for others to find so they could enjoy this wonderful area also.

Robbers cave state park is located near wilburton on state highway 2. this park has camping, swimming, lake for boats, hiking trails for people and horses, mini golf, and paddleboat rental. It also has lots of history. there is a cave that was used by gangsters in the thirties and forties to hide from the law, with a place they could hide their horses. It is believed to have been used by the jesse james gang and bonnie and clyde's gang.

5 a day is the servings of fruits and veggies you need everyday, so here is a days worth for you to enjoy.

the clues:

park in the lot near the cave and climb to the large historic sign. read the sign, then go to the cave. look to your left and you will see a trail going uphill. you will notice a wooden bench, this is where you will start your adventure.

grapes: at the bench follow the trail counting for approximately 50 steps where you will notice that a pine tree on your left leans over the trail. . look to the right and slightly behind you, there is a large boulder with a slightly smaller one on top approximately 13 steps from the trail. you will see a hole on the side between the two rocks here you will find your first box.

radish: go back to the trail. turn and look toward the beginning and find the third wooden rail across the trail. here is where you will start continue uphill for 100 steps to a level area with a group of large rocks on your right , on your left are two trees, one bent across the other. what you seek is behind the straight tree and under a rock.

apple: continue along the trail to where there is a right curve in the trail. along the left side are some rocks marking the edge of the trail. just beyond these are some pine trees, behind a large pine on the right of the group and under a rock is the next one.

carrots: continue for 50 steps and find the double trunked pine on your right behind and under rock.

pineapple: continue to where the trail ends at a rough road. on your right just before the road are two hardwoods twisted around each other. just past these you will see a large rock on the ground. on the right side slightly underneath is the last one. enjoy and rehide well, as trail is heavily used.
