6-2-2010-The box is lost. It won't be replaced.

9-8-09-A wonderful letterboxer has informed me that Klammie is fine and the location untouched!

8-21-09-I've been alerted that the park is moving stumps, and that Klammie can't be found. Please contact me if you can find it. Otherwise, the box probably won't be replaced. RAV

This was my first time in Oregon, and I was very impressed by the state's beauty, but there was someone missing. So I stopped to carve a stamp depicting what I would have liked to see rising from the waters of Klamath river.

This box is located in Moore Park in the city of Klamath Falls. I'll leave it up to you to decide how to get there. My only recommendation is do not take 66 east from Ashland, as I did. It's 20 miles of curvy terror.

Enter Moore Park from the main entrance and park by the gingerbread house. You'll see a large paved trail with a metal fence past the parking lot (heading away from the park itself).

Walk past the fence and up the trail. Keep walking until you reach a fork. You should see a grove of trees and a sign designating them as "Ponderosa Pines". Walk straight up from the sign, about 30 paces, until you see a large stump by one of the trees. Behind this stump you will see a large volcanic rock. Underneath the rock is the letterbox.

This is my first box and I welcome all feedback, especially about the condition of the box itself. Watch out for snakes and hikers. Please email me if you find it. Thank you!
