This box is missing again! Looks like we'll need to replant in a better place on our next vacation!
Sorry!
this box was originally planted in June 2008, but went missing. It has been replaced with a new stamp and slightly updated clue.
As you enter the town of Avon, going south, you will see a "Welcome to Avon" sign on the right. Shortly after this sign, look for North Kinnakeet Drive on the left (east) side of the road. The store "Fisherman's Daughter" is on the south side of this intersection.
Go to the end of North Kinnakeet Drive. Between 2 driveways you will see a wooden boardwalk that leads to the ocean. Directly to the left of the boardwalk entrance, you will see wooden slats with a house number address. Take the first two prime digits. Reverse the order of these digits. Walk this number of planks. The letterbox is hidden below (on the left hand side)under a concrete slab. (When counting, do not include the planks on the step up to the boardwalk).
After you finish stamping, you can continue on the boardwalk to the ocean to enjoy the view and a nice breeze.
