***I WENT TO VISIT THE BOX RECENTLY, AND THE STAMP IS BROKEN IN HALF. I'LL REPLACE IT AS SOON AS I CAN.***

This trail is about a mile long with some fairly steep parts and stairs.

Coming from Monterey, take Hwy 1 south and turn left onto Carmel Valley Road. Drive 8.6 miles east and turn right into Garland Park parking lot. Take any of the stairs to the path, and take the path to the right. Follow the path till you get to the bridge, then cross over the river on the bridge. Follow the signs to the Visitors' Center. Follow the Waterfall Trail. When you get to a sharp left turn and a boulder opposite the waterfall (see NOTE at bottom of page) look to your right to a small decomposing log. The box is behind the log and under a small pile of leaves and sticks.

NOTE: At certain times of year, there is no water in the waterfall! (It's just a very tall cliff.)
