Unfortunately, at last report we understand the Afton boxes have been lifted by the rangers at the park. Sorry everyone.
Welcome to beautiful notfA etatS Park in Minnesota. After paying your admittance fee make your way to the Visitors Center.
This stamp is part of a series of boxes themed All Things Minnesotan. Thanks to the Red Cat for planting this box for us. Please check other clues posted for this park and enjoy the hikes.
Head across the parking lot west of the Visitor’s Center and cross the road. Straight ahead will be a wide, unpaved path. Take this path, heading downhill. Continue down the trail to where you will have the option of going up hill or down hill. At this junction there is a trail map. Continue up the hill. Eventually you will see a clearing on the right side with power pole near the far side of it – keep going straight. You will come to a short electricity pole near the path and on the right side. From this pole take 48 steps down the path. You will see a bleached fallen tree on the left and a small path heading into the woods. Off in the distance you will see a part of a large fallen tree. Take the path heading towards the fallen tree. As you get closer to the tree you will see that the huge fallen tree splits into three trunks. Cross to the furthest one of the three trunks. Where that trunk splits into three you will find The Coolest Think About Minnesota on the far side of this trunk. To return to the Visitors Center, continue down the gravel path and follow it as it turns left.

To return to the Visitors Center, continue down the gravel path and follow it as it turns left.
