Bring ink pads, a pen, & a COMPASS (maybe even some bug spray & sun block). Helmets are required for bikes & blades. The park has cameras planted everywhere including by box #4. There is a fee to Kensington Park $4/$5 per car or $25 for annual pass.

This is a 4 box/8 mile hunt. Not having to be done all at one time.
The paved trial lends itself to stroller walking, bike ridding, roller blades and even car stops at all the different areas. We started the plant at the I-96 Kensington Rd. exit 151 at the “West Boat Launch” but you can pick up the paved path anywhere in the Park. It helps to have a park map. Riding the path all the way around with out stopping takes one hour at an easy pace (5 min. miles) With all the stops and finding etc.... you may want to make an afternoon of it 2 1/2 hours or more if you play at some of the parks. Good Luck.

Clue #1. West Boat Launch, Picnic Area Parking lot. Go to the playground & slide down to the end of that tube slide. 210 degrees (compass) kick a field goal 75 paces over the BBQ grill to the 4 trunk tree in the woods. Score the stamp with-in its feet. GO LIONS! Please re-hide & try not to be spotted by other stadium fans.

Go clock wise on the paved path to the next sporting event.
Pass up the fishing area & pass up the lovely Maple beach. Too busy.

Clue #2. Possum Hallow Picnic Area. Once you’ve made it up the steep hill the sports arena awaits. Just before the 2.25 marker. Stop, turn Right onto a dirt path. You’ve already collected the football (Go Lions!) stamp so continue to the green slide on this dirt path. Look around and see all the sports that can be played in this area. Take a slide down & sit at the bottom with your trusty compass. 190 degrees towards the water see a big 2 trunk tree. Check it out. Nope that's too easy for someone else to see. Soooooo go 70 paces from that tree down the hill, stay to the right & look for a 2 trunk brother tree on the right in the grassy overgrown area (wear socks & long pants). Wade through the grass. This is where the black & white got stuck behind. After you stamp in please re-hide, go back up the hill, & get back to the black top paved path.

Continue on the paved path in a clock wise direction.

Clue #3. Once you reach the yellow marker 3.50ww STOP! Take a rest on the bench. The answer is not always in front of you. Up the hill at the top, go to the turtle behind a bushy tree (watch out for pickers & branches). Please re-hide & be discreet of passer by. I had to replace this box, it needs to be hidden very well. This was a sports hand craved stamp but now it is a Turtle.
or
If driving and parking at the lot across from the Farm. Go down the ramp, on the paved path (counter clock wise) to the bench 3.50ww. Take a rest, maybe you don't need to rest if you have been driving but the answer is not always in front of you. Up the hill behind you to the turtle behind the bushy tree (watch out for pickers). Please re-hide & be discreet of passer by.

Clue #4. Pass marker 7.00 The Spirit of John J. Wscott, Enter the steel cage over looking the waves. For a better view of the waves turn right onto the next fairway, a gravel path takes you to the green. Putt from the center of this green about 8 paces from the skinny tree, your ball rolls south down the hill - the cup is at the bottom of the tree. Please re-hide with sticks & leaves.
You can also access this from box #1 going in a counter clock wise direction, only one mile away just before the steel bridge turn left on some gravel to a grassy look out.

We hope you enjoyed this trip. Please let us know how it went or didn’t go? We are always open for comments & suggestions. Please let us know the condition of any box at atlasquest.com. Thank you trying it out.
