Take a drive to ‘Wolliw Revir’ State Park near Hudson, WI and bring your walking shoes.

There are many beautiful things to see in this park. We enjoyed many wonderful views, hiking trails, and wildlife. The particular animal running ahead of you on the trail wandered through our camp during breakfast.

Once you arrive at the park and pay your state park fee make your way to the beautiful falls. There are a few different ways to get to the falls once in the park so pick the path best for you and enjoy the hike. This is a can’t miss view in the park!

Your letterboxing adventure begins at the scenic outlook perched directly above the falls. It is fun to look down and enjoy the view if you are not afraid of heights. After doing so hike up the wooden steps to the promise of more scenic lookouts. Once at the top of the steps turn right. Follow this path until you come to the first scenic outlook. From this vantage point you will have a nice view of the river below. After you enjoy the view walk back to the main trail. On your right is a pink trail marker. From this pink trail marker, head further down the trail 30 steps. Now look into the woods on your left. There will be several birch trees in the area but the very special one you seek is set back in the woods about 15 steps off the trail and is a three sistered birch tree. Tucked in where the sisters meet you will catch something quick. Enjoy your visit with the creature. You have a good chance of having a few more meander across your path during your hike as they are plentiful in the park.

Return back on the path you came. There are a few other treasures in this park if you have some more time to explore!
