Compass the time with Prilla

“Located on 19 acres of land adjacent to the Village of Bowmansdale, Simpson Park is now completed. The park offers a host of exciting new activities for residents to enjoy the outdoors. It provides a canoe launch to the creek and enhances Cumberland County's water trail. You will also find a sand volleyball court, a children's climbing rock, paved walking rails, a bird blind for viewing wildlife, and two picnic pavilions, including one with a small amphitheatre and fireplace. ” (Quoted from the Upper Allen Township website).

From US 15, take the Bowmansdale exit, and head towards Bowmansdale on 114.
At the bottom of the hill continue straight though the traffic light, and after the RR bridge (the one you go under) you’ll find the park on the left. It is right before the bridge that goes over the Yellow Breaches.

Find the sign in the parking lot that states “This project was founded in

part by the ___________________ _________________ ________ Partnership program” and start out on the gravel walk way behind this sign (Note: fill in the blanks for later use) .
Keep bearing to the left and take the 1st left onto a partial gravel and dirt path.
Starting from the spot where gravel gives way to dirt count the number of paces same as the number of letters in all three filled in blanks above- following the curved dirt path.
Now 260 degrees at 14 paces to an exposed rock in the right corner before the tree line.
With both feet on the rock go 180 Degrees at 9 paces putting you next to the woods.
Turn right facing into the wood. From the edge of the woods take 15 steps to the fallen tree with the roots surrounded by flat rocks.
Under rocks in the upper roots Prilla is waiting for a visit.
