Fevik is a little town on the Southern coast of Norway one hour east of Kristiansand (between Grimstad and Arendal).
Directions from Kristiansand:
Follow E18 towards Arendal/Oslo
Take Exit for Fevik 420 and follow for @ 15 mins till you see a sign for Hassletangen (a family beach) on your right. You will now be on Verseivein which takes you to a T intersection, at Soinsveien.
Take a left at this T and follow the road around to the right and up a hill and down to the left.
Continue past a red barn on your right, past a Scandia Boat Factory on your left and continue to a sign at the end of the paved road that points to Hasseltangen.
Turn up to your left onto a dirt road which winds around to a parking lot by the beach.
Look for a paved foot path past the beach area and on your right follow up the mountain for about 2 minutes to the top.
At the Y in the path, follow the path to the right till you get to a large pile of stones on your right believed to be a buried site of Viking artifacts. The asphalt path ends.
Now take 25 paces (from end of path) up the mountain side w/ocean on your left.
Stop when you come to a birch tree in a "gully" on your right - past rock pile.
Face the lighthouse w/birch tree behind you (you should be in middle of line between lighthouse and birch tree.
About face and look for tree stump on left between you and birch tree.
Treasure is hidden in under the stump with rocks hiding the opening.
First one to find the Treasure may keep the special rock with message inside.
Directions from Kristiansand:
