Both of these boxes reported missing 4/10. Augusta, MI 49012
The post office is at the corner of Webster St & Clinton St.

The McKay family founded Augusta, MI. There is a statue in their honor in the downtown park.

In 1876 a group of 24 women in Augusta got together and decided to share their love of reading with their community. The current library was a gift from George McKay to his wife, erected in 1967.

Shortly East on Clinton St. is the Park Theatre, dedicated as a Historical Landmark (Box #1)
Built in 1949 by D. Eli and Dorothy Frank, it is one of the last single screen theatres built in Kalamazoo County. The structure is a Quonset Hut, with an Art Moderne inspired masonry lobby.

In my Youth (early 70's) my mom brought me & my sibs here to see movies... "Song of the South" played here, and Disney movies, before animation..."Million Dollar Duck", "That Darn Cat", "101 Dalmations". Dean Jones and young Kurt Russell dominated the box office!!
The letterbox is in the foliage just below the sign.

Take M-96 West towards Galesburg. Look for signs pointing to Historical Marker. Barn Theatre on right.
My parents also introduced me to theatre...I most remember "Man of La Mancha" and "Hello, Dolly!"
The Barn was built in 1943(during WWII) by Robert Cooke, as a dairy barn. By 1946, it had already been established as a theatre, housing the oldest resident summerstock group. The Village Players were founded 1946 and bought the building in 1954. To this day, young actors can be found practicing their lines and singing to their hearts' desire on the grounds.
The letterbox is up the path from the Historical Marker, towards the Main Entrance to the theatre, in front of the concession stand . Reach right, right around a big stone.
