Park near the playground and restrooms.
Read the informational signs about the land’s history.
Head north along the cement trails to the large sign with a map of the trails in the area.
Go right at the map, heading uphill along the cement path.
When you encounter a dirt path, labeled “trail” on your left, take it.
BEWARE of SNAKES.
Continue hiking along the trail until you come to the top where you will find an intersection of trails and a dirt road.
Take the path labeled “trail”.
As you continue along this trail, you will see gorgeous views of the city and mountains.
You’ll pass a wood rail fence on your left.
Continue until your trail intersects with another dirt road. STOP.
You will see a large grouping of rocks at 320 degrees.
Investigate the western side of the tallest rock in this group.
Look for a flat stone that covers the letterbox, with a pinkish stone on top of it.

You can return the way you came, or continue along the loop trail for a slightly longer hike.
Box contains a prize for the first finder, a hand carved stamp and a hand made logbook, but no ink. Please bring your own.
