The MossyBack Morris Men have been dancing the ancient Morris Dance in Seattle, WA since 1980.

They dance the Cotswold style (from the Cotswold area of England). The villages whom traditions they dance are Bledington and Ducklington. They have been dancing these traditions as a team for 20 years now. They have created a few new dances to add to the repertoire of traditional dances. They've also been known to let their wild side show with some border dancing and fire performing.

The white clad dancers entertain the visitors to the Shewsbury Renaissance Faire in Kings Valley.

While resting from their fine leaps, Bleds and Ducks, they travel a short distance from the faire to the Minnie Ritner Ruiter Wayside and the gleaming white Ritner Creek Covered Bridge. Which is, of course located on Highway 223 about two miles south of Pedee. And a few miles north of the faire.

After parking in the shady parking area, walk towards the bridge.

Before stepping onto the bridge turn left, do a quick jig and walk down the railroad tie steps.

At the bottom of the steps kick your legs out and walk UNDER the walkway overhead and move to the SE corner of the bridge.

Stand where the white bridge rests on the concrete.

Facing the concrete look to your right. About 18 inches up from the concrete, under the huge supporting cross beam, tucked behind the white post the energetic dancers await your visit.

PLEASE BE DISCREET! If someone else is there, entertain yourself with some impromptu dancing until you are alone and can keep the vulnerable dancers safe from discovery! REALLY!

After you're done, tuck the guys back into their little hole and kick step your way back to your car and on to the faire!

Huzzah!
