Travel on Rt. 290 to exit 24 (Church Street Northborogh, Boylston). Proceed NW towards Boylston. Davidian Brothers Farm Stand will be on your right.

Proceed approximately 2.7 miles to the Bay Path Barn on the right.

After you see the square dance/contra dance sign at the entrance of the Bay Path Barn parking lot, turn right onto Linden St. and park along the road.

With the Bay Path Barn to your left, proceed towards the Linden St. sign. Carefully cross the street onto the other side of Central St.

Notice the historic marker sign. You will see the rock with a plaque commemorating the Bay Path Trail (1630).

The path starts here so feel free to proceed into the beauty of the woods. You will see a small pond through the trees on your left.

Watch your footing. The path has many tree roots and small rocks protruding. Many hikers have been known to take along a walking stick to help with footing. Look around the path. There are many walking sticks to pick from.

Notice the beautiful rock formations and outcrop along the right side of the path. As you walk along the path you will see evidence of old machinery and deteriorating metal. Any idea what that old machine might have been used for?

Stay on the path. You will come to a stream crossing the path. Be careful as you cross the stream. Even if you fall in, it's not deep. Stop and listen to its relaxing sound. (If stream bed is dry, notice moss-covered rocks.)

Proceed approximately 30 ft. The path makes a slight incline.

As you look to the right, notice a mound of rocks and trees. In the middle and top of the mound is a tree growing at an angle. The letterbox is hidden within its roots.

Please replace the letterbox carefully.
Feel free to continue along the path and enjoy its many stone walls and beautiful rock formations.
