Palestine Treasure
This is a puzzle solving adventure in the home of the Dogwood Trails. If you don’t like puzzles, you might want to avoid this one.

First, go to the above mentioned park. You can decipher the 1st clue at the Davey Monument.

Box #1: It might help you to solve this puzzle if you watch National Treasure. Specifically the part about the Ottendorf Cipher.
Line – word – letter in word
Refers to the Legend of the Dogwood (the story, not the title.) Note: There are several forms of the Legend of the Dogwood. This clue rerfers to the version on the Davey Monument. Looking at our Legend of the Dogwood clue will not help you here.

Box#2: Letterboxudoku
CEASAR is a SHIFTy fellow especially when he is on T.

Box#3: The Treasure
Solve the puzzle. It might help to draw in lines to separate into 9 sections of 9. The boxes are on a coordinate system. X runs horizontally and y runs vertically. X = 1 Y = 1 (1,1) is the top left box. X = 9 Y = 9 (9,9) is the bottom right box. Go back to the trail. At the Y fork go (2,2 in the tens place and 1,3 in the ones place) {Ha, ha, ha your math teacher told you would use place values one day} degrees for (3,6 in the tens place and 3,2 in the ones place) paces (a pace is every time your right or left foot hits the ground.) X marks the spot. Actually, a small elm and vine make an X to the right of the trail. The box is behind the tree that is behind the X.

As always, be careful for snakes, spiders, poison ivy and the like. Please re-hide as well as or better than you found the box. Ticks are a big problem when its warm so take precautions.
