Coming from Hanover on route 216. Pass the sign for the marina. Trail entrance is on your right before you cross the bridge. You will have to park across the road or in the La Ho lot and walk back across the bridge.
Enter at the yellow trail marker sign.
Cross a wooden foot bridge.
Follow the trail and cross a metal culvert.
Cross a second wooden foot bridge.
You will come to a paved service road, cross it and follow the path straight ahead.
Go down a steep rocky hill.
Step over a large tree in the trail. (marked with Josh & father 8-5-06)(I recently went to check this letterbox. The tree mentioned above w/initials has been cut in pieces and move to the side of the trail.)
Cross 3rd wooden foot bridge.
Trail bends left. Tree with yellow blaze on your right.
Trail goes down a second hill to the left with another yellow blaze on an ash tree on your right.
Watch for yet another yellow blaze on a white oak tree on your right. Further down the trail, notice a mulberry tree with yellow blaze on your left. (This tree has bacterial wetwood disease. It is a type of fermentation in the tree, but does not hurt the tree itself.)
Stop and take a rest on a small bench on your right.
Pass still another yellow blaze on a red cedar tree on your right.
Cross 4th wood foot bridge.
Trail bends left and goes slightly down hill. (Ignore the small trail on your right.)
You are almost there!!!!!
There is a forked tree on your left.
Stop at this tree and turn to your right.
Walk 10 steps from this tree up the hill.
The double bagel lies behind a tall ash tree under a SPOS.
Hope you enjoyed your hike!!
You may continue on the trail around the lake and it will take you to the La Ho parking lot.
