Gilkerson Community Activities Center. Westover Park Harrisonburg, VA 22801
Adults
Start at Cecil F. Gilkerson Community Activities Center doors. The activities center has a gymnasium, 3 racquetball courts, squash court, a newly- renovated exercise room, weight room, three large classrooms, 4 craft rooms, a game room, with table tennis, pool tables , foosball ,and bumper pool tables. Walk down the ramp without the bars. Go all the way down until you see the yellow bench on your left. You will see a row of bushes. Walk to the end of the row of bushes until you see the flag pole. The mission of the rec center is to enhance the quality of life and meet the needs of every citizen by providing comprehensive leisure service opportunities. From the flag pole FACE south and go to the second NO parking fire lane sign. Turn 90 degrees to your right, and then you will see the bushes again. The Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation Dept has expended its spectrum of recreation opportunities. It will serve the recreational needs of those 50 and older. It will be your job to find the box in one of the first six bushes.
If you are between the ages of 21 and 39 and want to increase your opportunities for success, you might consider becoming a member.

If you really like the rec. center you could buy coupon books for sale for $20.00. Westover is a decent outdoor park, all skatelite, with a five ft. mini quarter bowl. Okay, now start at the pool entrance where it has expanded of the many activities, and then face forward and skip down the ramp without the railings. Go all the way down until you see the bright yellow bench on your left. You will see lots of bushes. Bunny hop to the end of the bushes and stop in front of the tall flag pole.
The rec. center has a gymnasium, three racquetball courts, squash court, a newly-renovated exercise room/weight room, three large classrooms, four craft rooms, a game room, with table tennis, pool tables, foosball, and bumper pool tables.
At the flag pole spin around and FACE forward, and you will see three “no parking” fire lane signs. You have to hop like a frog until you get to the second sign. Turn around and you will get to the bushes again. Now you have to find the box underneath the first six bushes.
