Flume was found 200 years ago by a Aunt Jess, a 93 year old lady who was fishing. There used to be a oval shaped rock caught between the walls of the flume. On June 20. 1883, a heavy rain storm came thro the Notch. The oval rock was swept away, most likely broken up in little pieces.
For you to find the rock, go to the flume, head up the trail past Table rock. Soon come to a bridge that crosses Flume Brook. Walk back 30 steps....look to your right, will see a rock, pointing towards the trail, a down Birch tree is next to it, look under and behind rock
Check put the other boxes at the Flume also.
The people at the Flume know about them
