Most historians believe that there were three crusades that rocked Europe for hundreds of years. Alas, they were wrong. There was actually a fourth, instigated by a young warrior seeking to fulfill his dream of owning his own rubber duckie factory. This young man was harrassed by his peers, being called such painful names as "Wimp" and "Chicken Boy." So, the crusader fled to what we now call Pennsylvania, where he achieved his lifelong ambitions. Unfortunately, his dreams were crushed, (literally), by a rogue catapault stone. This letterbox is the actual path that Bob the Wandering Crusader undertook during his failed quest to bring yellow, squeaky happiness to all.

From 216, turn onto Sinsheim road. After driving a short distance, there will be a gravel parking lot on your left, facing the lake. (This is also the starting point of the "A Hiker's Day" and "Lost City" letterboxes).

On your right there will be a #2 trail marker at the head of the trail. walk down this trail until you see another #2 trail marker on your left. Turn left here.

You will proceed up a small hill that veers to the left and enter a pine grove. Continue straight until the trail forks. Turn left when it does.

After a short distance, the trail will come to a "T". turn right, ignoring the small path on your left that goes to the lake.

Shortly, the trail will come to a crossroads. continue straight, paralleling the lake on your left.

After a bit, there will be another small path going to the lake shore. Turn right just before this path.

The trail will veer to the left. Continue straight, passing over a small runoff ditch and under a skinny tree leaning over the trail. You will then leave the copse.

Stay on the trail you are on. It will get a bit narrow, but it's there. You will pass a skinny, forked tree in the middle of the trail, followed shortly after by a large holly bush on your left.

The trail will end at two very large pine trees. BTWC awaits the worthy behind the tree on the left.

This letterbox is a 0.35 mi. hike one way.
